Proshield® Plus is a patented protectant and moisture barrier cream that was formulated for both intact and injured skin. Proshield's protection and adhering characteristics rival products with zinc oxide with an important difference: Unlike zinc oxide protectants, it is easy to apply and remove, similar to products containing petrolatum. Proshield Plus may be applied over antifungal products to treat patients with yeast infections. It is a greaseless, fragrance-free skin protectant suitable for every day use as a moisture barrier to protect from irritation due to fecal and urinary incontinence. It can also be used to prevent diaper rash on pediatric patients.
