TED anti-embolism stockings are designed to speed blood flow with graduated compression but are different from support stockings or compression hose in that they are used for non-ambulatory convalescing persons to prevent blood clots.
T.E.D. Thigh Hose with belt are packaged as a pair. The one piece belt strap has a snap closure. Regular non-ambulatory T.E.D. hose start to lose their compression after just a few washings. The continued care hose will last approximately six weeks or more. If you need compression hose for a longer period of time, please see the 15-20 compression hose made by Juzo, Jobst or Mediven. They can be washed daily and will last a minimum of six months.
