T.E.D. hose are anti-embolism stockings made to wear in the bed. If you are interested in light-compression hose for ambulatory or continued-care use, Kendall also makes CLOSED TOE T.E.D Anti-Embolism Stockings for Continuing Care.

Regular non-ambulatory T.E.D. hose start to lose their compression after just a few washings. The continued care hose will last approximately six weeks or more. If you need compression hose for a longer period of time, please see the 15-20 compression hose made by Juzo, Jobst or Mediven. They can be washed daily and will last a minimum of six months
