Jobst® MedicalWear Pre-sized Gloves are designed to provide gradient pressure for interim compression therapy in edema reduction and for relief for arthritic symptoms of the hand. Contracture seams provide intimate contact to dorsal web spaces. The two ready-to-wear styles, standard and wrap-around closure, are each available in 6 adult sizes. Flattened seams increase comfort by minimizing pressure over newly formed or sensitive skin. The cool, light open weave fabric allows skin to breathe. The wrap-around closure is made of soft VELFOAM®. Ambidextous (fits right and left hand). One glove per package.

Notes from our Certified Fitters:
Always contact your physician and or therapist to determine the correct compression strength and product for your condition

Compression therapy is widely used to control lymphedema and edema in the upper limb. Armsleeves and gloves or hand gauntlets worn together or separately help maintain the limb size to assist in management following trauma, surgery, or radiation therapy

Indications:

  • Interim therapy for the control and reduction of edema
  • Provides relief for arthritic symptoms of the hand Wearing Compression For The First Time:

The first few times you wear your compression garment you will notice the squeeze. It is OK to begin wearing your glove gradually. Try wearing it for just a few hours the first day and then increase the number of hours each day until you can wear it comfortably throughout the day while you are up and about. Check your glove periodically to smooth out any wrinkles as the fabric may move during the day.

    Wearing Compliance

It is important to wear your compression garments everyday. Compression garments manage an on-going problem. When you remove it, the condition responsible for your symptoms is still there. Failure to wear your garment may cause your condition to become more severe.

    Care

Follow the "Application and Care Instructions" included in the package.

Please refer to product label and/or package insert for full instructions on safe use of these products.

    Replacing Your Garment

The elastic fibers of your compression garment will break down with wear. Proper care will increase the "life" span of your garment, but you will need to replace your glove about every 3-6 months, depending on how often you are wearing and how you are caring for your garment. As a general rule, if your garment becomes easy to put on, it probably needs to be replaced.
